September/October Newsletter
Welcome: I would like to welcome you all back. I hope you all had a great summer. We are looking forward to another great year of dance.

Tuition: Tuition is due the first week of each month. Any tuition paid after the 15th will be assessed a $5 late fee.

Columbus Day: We will be closed Monday, October 9th. If you would like to make up your class check with your teacher for the time and day. Please note that Columbus Day and Memorial day are the only two Monday holidays that we close.

Halloween costume week: We at Dance Impressions love the holidays, especially Halloween. Help us get into the Halloween spirit by wearing your costume to class during the week of October 24th-30th. We will be closed on Halloween, October 31st for trick or treat.

Halloween Tea Party: We will be having a Halloween tea party on Saturday, October 21st 1:00-3:30. We will be dancing, doing crafts, make up, nails, decorating cupcake and having tea/juice. Please sign up on the bulletin board in October. The cost is $20 per dancer.

Dance Impressions dress code:
This year the dress code will be strictly enforced. Please check your dancer to make sure she is properly prepared for class.
Bottoms: Tights, Yoga pants, Spandex shorts, Tutu/ballet skirt
Tops: Leotard, Sports bra, Plain black fitted camisole, Ballet sweater, Dance Impressions shirts of any kind
Unacceptable attire:
Play/school clothes
Dresses
Shirts other than Dance Impressions (Aeropostale, Hollister, Old Navy etc)
My belief is, if you are going to be a dancer you should look like a dancer.

Birthday parties: If you are looking for a fun place to have your dancer's birthday party Dance Impressions is your place. The party takes place on either Friday nights or Saturdays. Bring 16-18 of your favorite friends for two hours of dance and glam. The cost of the party is $130. Food and tableware not included.

Sip and sign: Saturday, September 30th Dance Impressions will be hosting a sip and sign at 6:00. This will be a fun night for dance Moms to get together to paint signs and sip whatever you bring to enjoy. The cost is $35 per person. You can sign up on my Facebook page.

November 2018
Costume Deposits: Costume deposits are due in November. A deposit of $25 per costume is required. Most younger students will only need one costume for ballet and tap. Deposits must be paid on a SEPARATE check from tuition or cash. Please put your deposit in the tuition box. Costumes will cost between $50-55. In January you will receive a statement with the exact cost of each costume and your balance. Costume pictures will be posted on the bulletin board. If you are dancing at Disney World in April please DO NOT add Disney costume in with deposit. Disney is a separate account.

Snow: Is it snowing? Are the roads slippery? What are the roads going to be like after class? These are some of the things we must consider when weather is inclement.
*If Windham is canceled there will be no morning classes. If the roads clear up we will be holding afternoon and evening classes.
* If Windham has an early release due to weather we will not be having classes.
* IF weather becomes bad please call the studio.
* I post on my Facebook page when we don't have classes (Facebook: Debbie Robbins Anshewitz)
* When in doubt call the studio 898-2588Veterans Day: Dance Impressions will be OPEN on Friday, November 10th.

Thanksgiving: We will be closed Wednesday, November 22nd - Saturday 26th.

Locks of love: As most of you know every year I walk the Dana Faber Boston marathon Jimmy Fund walk. At each mile they have a marker with a picture of a young patient and story. Most of the kids in the pictures I noticed had no hair due to chemo. When I went back to work the next day I noticed all these little girls with long beautiful ponytails. I came up with an idea. Let's teach our kids that no matter what age you are you can make a difference. On Thursday, June 21st I will be holding a cut-a-thon. All you need is ten inches of hair. June is over seven months away and the average persons hair grows one half inch per month so you have plenty of time to grow your hair out. If you would like to participate please email or message me thru Facebook. Each participant will receive a Dance Impressions cut-a-thon t shirt. This is open to all dancers and their family and friends.
